Usually sloths are herbivores, but a certain type of two toed sloth sometimes will eat bugs, small lizards, and other small creatures . However most sloths mainly eat the tree buds, new shoots and leaves of a certain type of tree called a Cecropia tree. Another fact about diet is that because of their slow metabolism, and slow movement, it can take about a month for a sloth to digest one meal. But digesting this takes a lot of their energy so they have very little left to move around making it move very slow.
